LINKS OF GRACE
It all beings on Friday, April 24, with the
Links of Grace golf tourney -two flights of golf linked together by
a delicious down home lunch and played on a beautiful local
course. Golfers are treated to contests and prizes throughout the
day and refreshments to keep them energized.
TOUR DE GRACE
Saturday, April 25, begins in Louisburg with the
Tour de Grace, a
bike tour through scenic Franklin County. Experienced and amateur
bikers alike may choose between a 32- and a 52-mile ride. Each
route includes revitalizing rest stops along the way, complete
with beverages, fruit, snacks, music, and a repair tent. A fully
equipped sag wagon also follows behind to provide aid for bikers
in need.
RACE OF GRACE
The weekend is anchored on Sunday evening, April 26, by the
Race
of Grace, a certified 5k run and walk along Hillsborough Street in
downtown Raleigh. The race draws top notch runners, casual
walkers, and children and youth of all ages. A dozen musical
groups line the race course to keep participants inspired. The day
closes with the popular awards ceremony where the top three
overall and age-group winners receive their choice of home-baked
cakes along with a gift certificate to a local running store.
