The Tour De Grace is a 25 & 50 mile bike ride to help end homelessness. 

The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at 9:00 AM at Louisburg College.

The starting time is 9:00AM. Pre-registration may be completed online or from 8:00 - 8:45 AM on the day of the event.

The start will occur in 3 stages -- Stage 1: 18-20 mph cyclists; Stage 2: 14-17 mph; Stage 3: 13 mph and under

The Louisburg city police department will escort each stage group from the starting point until no controlled intersections will be encountered.

Bring your gently used shoes of all kinds! In addition, clean blankets and new socks and underwear will be collected. All items will be donated to homeless shelters and agencies. Look for the PODS unit!

The 2008 Tour de Grace Bike Ride is a 50-mile bike tour through beautiful Franklin County. Designed for all types of riders, cyclists may ride all 50 miles or choose a 25-mile optional ride. The 50-mile route has two rest stops, each at about 15 mile intervals. The 25-mile ride will have one rest stop. The start/finish and each rest stop will offer snacks, water, and sports drink refreshments.

THE RIDE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Each of the four route legs will be patrolled by sag wagons and road marshals. In the event any rider needs to drop out, the sag wagons will be contacted and will pick you and your bicycle up and take you to the Start/Finish area.

Trek Bicycle Shop - Raleigh will provide bike repairs in the event they are needed. Riders will be charged for materials.

Local EMS departments will be on standby should serious medical issues require emergency attention.

Numerous rider-scouts will be present on the ride to assist or support those that may need it. They will have contact information for EMS and sag wagons.
