at Edenton Street United Methodist Church (ESUMC) at 228 W.
Edenton St. in downtown Raleigh, NC.
Time:

4:00 PM - 5k Run/Walk Start

Bring your gently used shoes of all kinds! In addition, clean
blankets and new socks and underwear will be collected. All items
will be donated to homeless shelters and agencies. Look for the
PODS unit!

There are 4 easy ways to register...
1.
Register online at www.active.com. Deadline for online
registration is 5:00 p.m. April 24, 2008.

Register by mail. Mail the Entry Form(s) to the address listed on
the forms. Please do not mail any entries after: April 21, 2008.
Please do not send cash. Use the Pledge Form to collect pledges
from friends, neighbors, business associates prior to the race.

3.
Register in person at Raleigh Running Outfitters. Pre-Register in
person and pick up pre-registered runner/walker packets at Raleigh
Running Outfitters on Saturday, April 26, from 3:00-5:00. Raleigh
Running Outfitters is located at Celebration at Six Forks, 7459
Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC - (919) 870-8998.
4.
Register on race day. Race day Registration, April 27, from
2:00-3:30pm. Pre-registered runners and walkers may also pick up
packets at this time.
T-Shirts are available if ordered by 4/21/08. $5.00 each

For the safety of the runners and walkers, and because of
insurance requirements, we must prohibit bicycles, roller skates,
and in-line skates from the race. We will also not allow
participants to wear head-phones or to run or walk with dogs.

Presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-place male and female
finishers.
To the first 3 wheelchair finishers.
To the first 3 finishers who are members of the clergy.
To the first 3 finishers in each of the following age groups (male
and female): 12 - under, 13 - 19, 20 - 24, 25 - 29, 30 - 34, 35 -
39, 40 - 44, 45 - 49, 50 - 54, 55 - 59, 60 - over

Competitive 5k Run/Walk
Before 4/21 - $20.00
After 4/21 - $25.00
Competitive Runners/Walkers: Choose this classification if you
want to be eligible for awards and/or if you just want to get an
official time, which will appear in the printed and online
results.
Recreational 5k Run/Walk
Before 4/21 - $15.00
After 4/21 - $20.00
Recreational Runners/Walkers: Choose this classification if you
don't care about being eligible for any awards and/or don't care
about your finishing time being recorded. You will be responsible
for getting your own finishing time (we will have a digital clock
at the finish line or you can time yourself).

The 5k course in 5000 meters (3.1 miles) and is USAT&F-certified.
All performances will count towards state records and national
rankings. Splits will be called at the one-mile, half-way, and
two-mile marks. There will be one water stop on the course at the
half-way mark.
Edenton St. Church is located at 228 W. Edenton St., Raleigh, NC.
The 5k race will start at Edenton St. United Methodist Church on
West Edenton St., which becomes Hillsborough St. The turnaround
point is at NC State University, and proceeds back to Edenton St.
United Methodist Church.
